Based in Manhasset, Daniel Selby is an underwriter for a private credit firm in New York City. His duties with the firm, which specializes in providing credit to small and medium-sized businesses, involve identifying potential risks and evaluating each debtor party’s creditworthiness based on comprehensive financial statements. Daniel “Dan” Selby also structures tailored financial solutions for debtors that meet the firm’s credit requirements. He previously held a similar role as a private equity analyst with a private equity firm in Glen Cove.

In the past, Dan Selby has served in various positions with equity firms focused on energy transition assets and other sectors of the energy industry. In 2024, he completed a communications internship with the Energy Futures Initiative Foundation in Washington, DC, a think tank committed to promoting a nationwide transition to clean energy.

Mr. Selby studied economics at New York University. Following a rigorous application and evaluation process, he joined 11 NYU students from global campuses as part of a Washington, DC-based fellowship. Before his graduation, his professors elected him as the commencement ceremony flagbearer.
